چکیده

The aim of this study was to evaluate the bond strength, microleakage, cytotoxicity, cell migration and fluoride ion release over time from a resin-modified glass-ionomer cement (RMGIC) enriched with bioactive glasses (BAGs) nanohybrid restorative polymer resin agent used as adhesion material in cemented brackets. One hundred twenty bovine lower incisors were divided into three groups: (Transbond Plus Self Etching Primer (TSEP)/Transbond XT (TXT), TSEP/ACTIVA, orthophosphoric acid gel/ACTIVA) brackets bonded. A strength test microleakage applied. applied after 60 days for TXT ACTIVA group. To cytotoxicity migration, viability scratch assay done each p values < 0.05 considered significant. Regarding test, no significant differences found between TSEP/TXT TSEP/ACTIVA. At 6.4 pH, showed higher degree release, which increased pH (3.5), maximum secretion at 30 days. MTT revealed that reduces gingival cells (p 0.001) compared untreated (control group). provides optimal adhesive microfiltration properties, releases substantial amounts ions both neutral media, its biocompatibility is greater than traditional composite systems.

The effect of adding bioactive glass on the fluoride release of resin-modified glass-ionomer cement in simulated body fluid

Glass ionomer cements (GICs) originally designed for use as dental materials have a number of advantages over acrylic bone cements. These include nonexothermic setting reaction with no thermal damage to surrounding tissues, minimal shrinkage during gelation, the possibility of incorporation drugs and growth factors within the cement and the ability to release fluoride. It is already known that ...

Fluoride release profile of a nanofilled resin-modified glass ionomer cement.

The present study aimed to compare the fluoride (F-) release pattern of a nanofilled resin-modified glass ionomer cement (GIC) (Ketac N100 - KN) with available GICs used in dental practice (resin-modified GIC - Vitremer - V; conventional GIC - Ketac Molar - KM) and a nanofilled resin composite (Filtek Supreme - RC). Discs of each material (n=6) were placed into 4 mL of deionized water in sealed...

Comparison of the Amount of Fluoride Release from Nanofilled Resin Modified Glass Ionomer, Conventional and Resin Modified Glass Ionomer Cements

OBJECTIVE To investigate and compare the amount of fluoride release of conventional, resin modified and nanofilled resin modified glass ionomer cements. MATERIALS AND METHODS Tablets of glass-ionomer cements were immersed in deionized water and incubated at 37°C. After 1, 2, 7, 15 and 30 days, fluoride ion was measured under normal atmospheric conditions by fluoride ion selective electrode. B...

Do conventional glass ionomer cements release more fluoride than resin-modified glass ionomer cements?

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the fluoride release of conventional glass ionomer cements (GICs) and resin-modified GICs. MATERIALS AND METHODS The cements were grouped as follows: G1 (Vidrion R, SS White), G2 (Vitro Fil, DFL), G3 (Vitro Molar, DFL), G4 (Bioglass R, Biodinâmica), and G5 (Ketac Fil, 3M ESPE), as conventional GICs, and G6 (Vitremer, 3M ESPE), G7 (Vitro Fil LC,...
